We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hi my name is roos born and bred in the city of Rotterdam. I have always wanted to do things myself and my way so this selfsufficiency-thingy is totally for me. Eventhough my family thinks it's another one of my obsessions and it will pass. There's not much I can do living in a huge flat with a balcony. I started gardening there but have moved on to an allotment. Unfortunately we can't keep chickens on the allotment so that's a real bummer. And I can't install solar pannels on my balcony so energy is out. I do rather well on transport though. I do everything with my bike and public transport. I still hope to develop more skills like sowing and basket weaving and so on. So hoping to learn lots from you all.

Hi there and welcome

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

As someone who lived in Rotterdam well over 45 years ago - not for very long - I welcome you to us English-speaking bunch!
