Hello from Swindon

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hello from Swindon

Post: # 102731Post AndyP »

Hi there,

I signed up to the web site after seeing Andy and Dave at the Swindon Festival of Literature on Sunday. We had an 'eco day' down at Lower Shaw Farm. Andy and Dave gave a brilliant presentation of things self-sufficientish, drawing on their new book, and even signing copies. I love the approach - the 'ish' part of being self-sufficient struck a chord.

My main reason for signing up to the forum is to pick up tips on growing veg - I'm committed to growing as much organic food as I can, and I have a good sized allotment. I lack experience and will be looking for advice!

Cheers,

Andy

PS Anyone in Swindon concerned about climate change, please check out Swindon Climate Action Network, and/or drop me a line.

Hi Andy from another Swindon resident.

We probably met on Sunday as I was there too. Was it you I was talking to about chickens over lunch?

Cheers

Hiya Andy, welcome to the Ishers!

And a tip - if you put that link to the Swindon Climate Action Network in your signature, it'll come up every time you post something...
