Post: # 211614Post Andy Hamilton »

For those UK viewers there is a program on BBC 2 that airs tomorrow at about 9.30pm its called Autumnwatch unsprung and it will be starring a certain forager from Bristol (me). Have to do a live bit in the studio and I am absolutely crapping it, hopefully it will be ok. If not then I hope you are all good liers!

Andy, forget/ignor the cameras & just do the presentation as if you were just talking to Dave. That way you'll relax. I'll wish you luck, but I doubt you'll need it.

Well done, Andy. I found myself screaming at the presenters to shut the f**k up and let you get in a complete sentence. Ah well - television today. But you looked calm, and your red feast looked well worthwhile.

Aha - thought it was you! It's been a while since I logged on here. Your fare looked delicious and I thought you did really well under a lot of pressure. Live tv - scary!

Well done Andy  what a nice suprise! I was very impressed - but don't think the presenter said your name at the beginning other than 'our wild food expert' or similar waffling  - format of the show seemed rather haphazard and I thought it quite fun when at one point one TV camera was filming another one in front of it

I got 2 out of 4 with the quiz but am kicking myself for not getting the moorhen foot!!! What am I like, only been watching them thru binocs for years on my pond.

I'm going to google your recipe but what exactly was the 'wood arvit' thing that looked like a bit of green with some roots? :dontknow:

Now I wonder what some of our members here will think about our new celebrity TV chef (Odsox and Oldjerry)?

Well done! You certainly looked totally calm at at ease. Are they going to show your other bit next time?

That's Wood Avens, MMM. I bought seeds for those and water avens just last week to go in the new garden! Now I know what to do with them - thanks Andy.

Erm, I've also bought a load of other edible perennials, I'll send you a list Andy - you can tell me what to do with them all! :dontknow:  Just kidding, half the excitement is working it out.
