Archimedes Screw

Any ideas on buying or making a small Archimedes Screw to move water up from a basement bathroom? Maybe this invention is due for a comeback. Thanks.

Wow - had never heard of it, but have just had an interesting google intro!

The closest I got to any plans were these model ones, but they seem to share the basic principle? Maybe upscale with polypipe and garden hose strapping?
