Farming the 'Long Acre'

We only have an acre of grass to feed an ever increasing grazer population, so we are always looking out for convenient ways to increase grass production

With this in mind we cut and dried the grass verge of the track (approx 100m long) and produced a good share of hay for the rabbits. We also cut bracken for compost and bedding, so the thin strip of ground that was once a burden to keep tidy has now become a productive extra bit of land

Does anyone else make use of thier local long acres?

Any good tips or plant choices
