I save A4 envelopes when I receive them in the post, but I now have quite a collection and I don't send enough in the post to be able to re use them all. I re use some by sticking a re use label on them and then taping the opening with sellotape.
Can anyone think of something else I can use them for?
Also I have a fair bit of bubble wrap. Again, I can't think what to use it for. I have advertised it on my local freecycle but no takers.
Any ideas?

I saw on one site the guy had used bubble wrap on the windows as insulation that you could see though (although a bit distorted)!

Ive got bubblewrap under the staging in the greenhouse till the weather warms up a bit.Next door have a real glass greenhouse and they use it for insulation in cold weather too.
Im using it to cover my 2 mini deep beds aswell. Once the weather warms up I'll take it off.At present it makes them more like coldframes.
Good on windowsills if you have your seedlings started indoors.

You could open out larger envelopes and use them for parcel paper.

Can't help on the envelopes, but I use bubble wrap to insulate plants (wrapped around the pot to protect roots) & the wormery during these cold winter months.

A bloke in our local Freecycle group waits until he has a box full of bubble-wrap and envelopes and then Freecycles them. There is then a mad rush by all of us Ebayers to grab them quick. Ebayers always need envelopes and bubblewrap!!

I cant believe that Freecycle Ebayers don't grab at them. When they are offered locally here, they go within seconds.

I often use them as a 'filing system' by stuffing them full of similar paperwork and writing on the outside that its bills etc inside

I could freecycle the envelopes. I am a little concerned about the wrong people getting my address, if the freecycler did not stick a label over it properly and then sent it to the wrong sort of person. What do you think, is that paranoid?

I always save and reuse envelopes when sending out items that I have sold via Ebay or Amazon and haven't had any problems. Maybe run a permanant marker over the address before offering them?

Thanks, I offered them on freecycle, as well as some bubble wrap, boxes, cardboard and packing beans and they have all gone now.

Can you not shred them and use them for animals bedding? I used to shed all my envies for my bunnie rabbit.

I tend to use my envies now for dinner money and stuff I send back to the school or to my mum in France.

What a good idea about shredding them for bedding.
I am a flat dweller without garden and keeping animals is excluded by my tenancy agreement.
I tend to get a lot of A4 envelopes as I do recycling at the place I work and they get put in my recycling box, plus I get sent a few in my own mail.
I get so many I can't re-use them all for sending out stuff. Mainly because I always open them carefully in order to be able to re-use them!
I have already started another pile. However I will freecycle them again if I get too many.
