Decent UK bartering site?

Post: # 267094Post surlymonkey »

I'm hoping to barter my services as a web designer for particular items.

From personal experience, can somebody recommend a decent UK bartering site?

If anyone's interested, I create both e-commerce & personal websites.

The easiest way I can imagine is to go to the company in question and find out whether they want a website, if "yes" you show them your portfolio and define the terms...

I've not heard of any bartering sites. Maybe you could start one?!

I have considered starting a batering site that incorporates a feedback system like Fleabay. I'm not sure I have the time to drive the traffic there to make it worthwhile.

I might take advantage of Fleabay's traffic and advertise there with a penny BIN.

Thanks anyway. And yes, I'm still available for bartering!

Have you heard of LETS?
LETS - Local Exchange Trading Systems or Schemes - are local community-based mutual aid networks in which people exchange all kinds of goods and services with one another, without the need for money.
See here..

Hope it helps

EDIT: Wow I just looked at my local scheme. I haven't thought about this scheme in years. I can see winter projects coming on!
