First "patio" meal.

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

First "patio" meal.

Post: # 113910Post MKG »

Well, OH wouldn't believe me. So last night we just had potatoes, courgettes and very young broad beans (pods and all), all steamed very lightly and then soaked in melted butter, and they all came from containers and the raised bed immediately outside the patio doors where last year there was just an expanse of paving slabs. She believes me now - home-grown veg. are pretty tasty.

sounds absolutely gorgeous - I love simple, home cooked food like that.

I'm glad you both enjoyed it :)

Yay!

It's a good feeling, isn't it? We've been eating our first crops from the garden, and I think it's helping my bf become more enthusiastic about it too.
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?
