Well, OH wouldn't believe me. So last night we just had potatoes, courgettes and very young broad beans (pods and all), all steamed very lightly and then soaked in melted butter, and they all came from containers and the raised bed immediately outside the patio doors where last year there was just an expanse of paving slabs. She believes me now - home-grown veg. are pretty tasty.
