carrot fritters

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Easy to make, first beat an egg in a bowl then add 1 grated medium carrot and some dill seed. Mix it up an slowly add some flour until it all sticks together. I also like to add a little bit of grated cheese at this point, depends on how fattening you want them to be. Use golf ball sized bits of the mixture.

Heat up a bit of oil in a pan. Put in the bits of mixture and flatten to make 'biscuit' shapes fry on both sides until golden. They burn pretty quickly so do keep an eye on them.

This can be done with other veg and is worth experimenting with.
First we sow the seeds, nature grows the seeds then we eat the seeds. Neil Pye
