Fourteen pound of tomatoes were picked today and made into tomato juice. Celery was added for flavour, and beets to enhance the colour. Seven liters of juice was obtained, about 2 pounds of tomatoes per liter or approximately four to five fist size tomatoes. Two liters of water was added to thin somewhat. The jars were pressure canned at 15 PSI for 15 minutes.Annotated photographs depict the procedure.
