Have seen several recipes for apple butter in some of my American cookery books but have never known what it is or what to do with it! Just recently I came across it again and as I have some rather decent local cyder decided to make some today.
I wish I'd made it before! Apart from the work out putting the cooked apples through the sieve it was very easy and the result is g o r g e o u s
OH is enthusiastic about putting some on this porridge in the morning.
