1.25 kg Mixed Vegs Bag for £1. What do you make with it?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

At your local shop can you get the mixed bag of 1.25kg of fresh vegetables for £1? How do you cook them to best advantage?

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

What are they?

It sounds like one of the supermarket mixed veg packs - couple of carrots, couple of onions, couple of parsnips, a swede, sometimes a few leeks etc. If it's that type of a deal, soup or a casserole stretches a pack to the maximum.
