33. books for the kids (we have enough to open our own library, take note grandad)
34. trashy christmas earings from two dollar shop, (take note mum wife does not like them and besides she makes her own jewellery)
35. anything that does not relate to the garden (most people don't know what I like anyway and never ask)

Christmas is a special time for christians and what's important is spending quality time with friends and family not trashy plastic gifts which break five minutes after you open them and poisen the environment when you have to throw them out.

merry christmas

Ah. Sorry Kezz... we're getting the 89 yr old MIL one of these for Xmas
Her eyesight isn't what it used to be & she's not PC literate either & keeps asking for photos of the dogs/birds/garden/family... etc etc, which would cost us a small fortune in paper & printer ink
So, she's getting one of these & then every couple of months, we can just dump our pc albums onto a card & post that off to her & she can slideshow to her hearts content!

39. Jewellery - sorry, but I really don't do jewellery at all - yes, I have pierced ears & occasionally fill the holes with little plain studs or small sleepers, but that's it, I can't bear the faffing about with tiny clasps & monstrous designs!

40. Toiletry items - especially Lavender! How old do my kids think I am? And after all these years, they must know that I use certain brands & have never changed - crochety old bitch, huh?

41. Clothes - especially when the MIL buys them for me  No Mum, I do NOT suit heavy purple satin blouses!!!

This year, top on my wishlist is 10 sheets of 3/4inch waterproof ply wood
Just think of the bunny hutches & chicken broody boxes, etc I can make from those

44. Anything from Avon's gift range (like a plastic santa cake slice)
45. Marks & Spencers toiletries
46. A handbag (OH's grandparents buy me one every year - of monstrous design!)
47. Anything you have bought on Christmas Even from Makro (take note, FIL!)

P.S. Money or B&Q vouchers are fine!! We have so much work to do, monetary help is always welcomed! I'd rather have a £10 note than a lazy susan from Argos.....

No no no. I love marzipan - just give me a block and I'll be happy all morning.

What I hope we don't get...

45. More shop bought jam jars (very happy to get used jars)

46. More 'labour saving' gadgets for the kitchen (especially those that take a whole cupboard self to store and need more effort to clean than the labour they claim to save)

47. Anything bought just because it has a cat on it.

48. musical clothing

<groan> Musical socks!!
Like the ones that the granddaughter bought for Andy the year before last... then I washed them & they sounded like the battery was going... and Leah thought it was the funniest thing one particular day to just keep pressing that button......

And into the bin they went!!

Is there such a thing as a bar of chocolate that's too big?

Musical clothing - my daughter had a pair of musical socks that went into the washer once too often - we often heard mysterious wailing sounds coming from the laundry basket!

My mother keeps trying ro "reward" me with Lancome products :pale:
49 No Lancome products - or anything else that contains chemical carp thank you
