You know you are getting older when....

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

Re:

You buy T-shirts without anything written on them.

You can remember the time when tee shirts didn't normally have anything written on them anyway. In fact, when you can remember the first tee with something written on it! (I can! I was eleven! It came in a parcel from America!)

You say your grey hairs show your wisdom

You refer to your extra pounds as more of me to love

You start counting your pennies to put something away for your retirement.

Me too!! Someone asked me what I was doing on Friday night, and I said I was going to go to bed, listen to Radio 4 and knit.
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

Sounds like a perfect night to me! I've been doing that kind of thing for the past - ergh - 35 years or so... Must have been old as a teenager.

Gosh we'd get on like a house on fire, sounds like an average night to me  Well, throw in a bit of knitting too, and Mr D'ville to discuss the political discussion with

You also know you're getting old when the boy-racer with the deafening stereo screams past and you say 'gosh, think how loud it must be INSIDE the car!'.
