There are a few of us on here. I home-ed my 4YO daughter. If she was going to school she would have started last September.

Mine are now grown up, but they were both home educated. Daughter went to school at age 13, as she wanted to be a doctor and we found separate sciences a bit too much of a challenge. She isnt a doctor but has just completed her MSc in addiction psychology. Son went to college for A levels and is now a lawyer. We were seen as something of pioneers when we started (daughter is now 29)
Re: Any home edders out there?
I home edded my grandaughter who subsequently grew up successfully. She is now 24.

What better time to start home edding than when the weather is wet and miserable. Lots of snuggly mornings in PJs ahead of you now. :) Have fun!

This sounds great! I have two children, neither school age just yet but I'd love any advice and experiences of anyone willing to share
The main obstacle i'd feel the need to overcome would be the socialising aspect
if we do go ahead, can't wait to tell the mother-in-law, she'll be mortified!

Hi Pumpkin and piglet
When I looked into Home Ed I found there is a local group for home eding parents to meet up with others so the kids can socialise. Also kids can go to cubs/rainbows/judo etc to meet others. My older two (18 and 15) are in mainstream education and I have not been impressed. My little ones (3 and 6 months) are going to attend the local Steiner school (all going to plan).
