Thanks, great suggestions. They're pretty well-rounded with their tastes, I'm reading The Princess Bride to them at the moment. :)

Tim Burton stuff like Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride

Flash Gordon (my 3yr old has a bit of a Brian Blessed obsession :? )

My 9yr old stepdaughter loves Napoleon Dynamite (the movie as well as the cartoons that were on TV not too long ago)...makes me wet myself laughing when she quotes from it unexpectedly, eg, I once asked her what she'd been up to and she replied "hunting wolverines"

It puts it all really clearly.
Wow just watched this film and shared on facebook, sums up everything I already knew, but still shocking to hear and see it all again.

Dear gods no, :pale: I watched that film all the time when I was little, on the one hand I loved it, on the other I had horrible nightmares about General Woundwort from it until I was about 14. I also remember watching Jurassic Park when I was 12, my mum refused to let me watch it at home (telling me I'd have nightmares) but when I went on holiday to my aunty's house in Suffolk I watched it with my cousins and true enough it gave me nightmares for several years.

However the one film they must watch above all others- The Land Before Time  Also Fern Gulley, Homeward Bound and most Disney films.
