Boys!

I just came in from doing the chores, made a cuppa and sat down at the computer.

I thought the chair felt a bit odd as I pulled it in, but didn't think too much of it until I turned on the swivel and the chair fell over.

Certain small boys had removed three of the six castor wheels!

Yep I have one that likes to 'adjust' the flush on the toilet and when he can't get it to stop over flowing he walks away as he has 'fixed' it!

He also 'fixed' the shower, the new shower, by removing all that 'stuff' (sealant) from around the edges!

He 'fixed' the blob on the end of the 'no more nails' tube by removing it and when he couldn't get it of his hands wiped it on the towels/walls/floor etc!

Yep have to agree boys!

I also know of one small boy who 'did not' play with the toilet in my caravan nor did he fill up the holding tank and deplete most of the water in the flush tank

You have to ask what plans they have for the castors....be afraid.......of things going bump in the night (followed by a string of expletives!)

Yes, and took alternate ones so I wouldn't notice. Well, I did!

This is interesting as I have three girls. However, I look after a 5 year old boy and he is forever fiddling with things, pulling them apart, buttons off, batteries out, nosing in drawers and examining whatever he finds there...it drives me mad. I thought it was just him, but now I realise it must be a boy thing!

I just have to keep him really busy - thank goodness for felt pens and playdough!

(He has yet to dismantle my chair, but will check before I sit down in future!)

Not just a boy thing though - when sara was 2 or 3 she put a coin in the lock of our front door. When it fell out, she got a screw from the screw jar, put the coin back in and screwed the screw in diagonally so nothing would fall out. I only discovered all this when we came back from collecting her sister from school and were locked out.

yeah, the logical thinking is fab, you should encourage it stoney lol!!!
as for boys being the ones who take things apart, looking at my husband i honestly don't think they ever grow out of it.
mid you, i currently have a little girl in my office, playing with a partially dismantled stair gate and changing the pressure pads from one side to the other. she keeps taking one out, putting it in another hole, saying "fixed!" and then coming back round, studying the hole, saying "oh god!" and starting again. she doesn't seem to get that there arn't enough pressure pads to go round.
