Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Hampshire and West Sussex isher walk on the downs

Post: # 162417Post jim »

Anyone in the area interested in a Saturday country walk ending at a nice pub?

My friend teaches English as a foreign language and I regularly organize a walk in the country for some of her students. This gives them the chance to see parts of Britain they might not ordinarily see, to practice their language skills and to experience the cultural institution of the pub.

The next walk is on Saturday 3rd August meeting outside the church at Upham. (OS 119 "Meon Valley" ref. 538205.) We'll be booting up sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 for a two and and half hour stroll in the hills above the Hampshire Basin ending up at the "Brushmakers" for a beer and sandwich afterwards.

it would be pleasant to meet local ishers, put faces to names and maybe talk about resurrecting the defunct Meon Valley Self-sufficiency Group.

Bring appropriate footwear, wet weather gear and yourselves. Just look for the greybearded old hippy with the map and that's me.

Looking forward to seeing you there

Love and Peace
Jim

Hi
Sorry to be pedantic but what date is the meeting? My diary says that 3rd August is a Monday.

Cheers
Zoe
