We seem to be getting there.
Could everybody make Sunday 23rd May instead of the 16th?
Cheers

Pretty sure that 23rd would be fine.
I love the idea of a pot luck picnic, what do you all think?

Re: Ish Wiltshire Meet?
Hi
Well we seem to have a consensus. More people can make the 16th than any other day so 16th of May it is. Sorry to all those who can't make it.
The location is Lacock - unless we have any particular disagreements.
Looking at Google, there appears to be a big field behind one of the pubs. I will see if I can work out some directions and let you know nearer the time. I will pm you with my mobile so we can keep in touch.
I suggest we go for a picnic, with the option of dashing to the pub if it rains. I'm up for a potluck picnic - I shall bring cake! But if you'd rather just bring your own sandwiches that's fine.
Children, of course, are very welcome as are other halves, parents, friends or just random strangers dragged off the street.
Sunflowergal has already offered jam jars for swapsies. I can add the following:
Aloe Vera plants, envelopes (for card makers), plastic bags (useful for crafters) or plum jam. Happy to swap for any other jam, herb plants, firewood (logs), cotton fabric for patchworking, old denim jeans (for patchworking) or other interesting stuff.
Cheers

Re: Ish Wiltshire Meet?
Apparently there is a public car park in the village. Just follow the signs from the main road. I suggest we meet there.
There are fields next to the car park where we can picnic (it's supposed to warm up by the weekend)
Nikki and I will be in my silver Renault Laguna estate.
Is midday suitable for everyone?

Re: Ish Wiltshire Meet?
OH NOOO!
My boyf comes back from abroad and drops the bombshell on me that Sunday is the day his entire family are meeting in a field in Chard, to scatter the ashes of his gran, who died a few months ago, and my attendance is mandatory.
I am soooooooo sorry, was really looking forward to meeting everyone and had it been an ordinary family lunch, would gladly have skipped it, but feel that I really should go and do the whole supportive partner thing.
I hate letting people down at the last minute, so really really sorry. Sure you will have a lovely day - and hopefully will meet again soon, in which case I would love to come.
Bonnie

Oh Bonnie thats a shame, but I totally understand. Your relationship and supporting your boyf at a sad time comes first.
Hopefully meet you next time.

Of course you've got to go. That's far more important. Hope the day goes well for you. If it goes well for us, we'll just have to have another one!

We'll bring a load of fleece if anyone fancies taking some home to play with and will bring a few things for the potluck picnic. Looking forward to it :-)
