Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Sad, but hardly unique, not to trivialize the issue. Caribbean sugar cane cutters live about the same, plus many other to a greater or lesser degree. Coffee, cocoa also.

Agriculture particularly mega farms always have a labour issue. Machinery cannot do everything, and the labourer is needed. The work is often back breaking, and only slaves can be forced to do the work.

Solution may be for everybody where possible to grow some food on a small scale. The preserving methods are more readily available today and often economical. Pressure canning, freezing, dehydrating, vacuum packing at home on a small scale are practical.

The food supply will soon be a crisis situation, and new approaches have to be considered. This is according to a UN report issued today. http://www.durgan.org/URL/?NUDML
