Noodles were one that took me by surprise. I don't know why, they even call them 'egg noodles', but somehow it was only a few months ago I actually thought about it....
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

I'm another one who didn't know they had real egg in!!
I'm usually pretty up with these things but it just didn't occur to me.
I LOVE creme eggs but gave up eating eggs a month or so ago so it's a good job I saw this post.
Signed this petition with gusto and forwarded it to everyone in my address book.

This is what I emailed to Cadbury
Dear Cadbury
As a chocolate lover I don't want my treat to have caused pain and
suffering to any animal! Please would you change to free range eggs!
Thanks
I signed it Terry x didn't intend to add a kiss - they prob' think I'm mad!
Cadbury’s reply; -
Thanks for your recent enquiry regarding the very small amount of egg we
use in our Crème Eggs.
We are currently exploring the option of using only free-range eggs in
our recipe. There are issues, however, around supply and traceability so
it's not possible at the moment, but it is certainly an option we are
considering.
We do appreciate your feedback and please be assured that no comments go
unheard.
Thank you once again for taking the time and trouble to contact us.
Regards
Charlie
Not sure what they mean by 'issues' or why only containing a very small amount egg makes it ok
btw I don't eat them either, I agree they're discusting but Cadbury don't know that!
It will be interesting to see if you all get the same reply!

What do you think they mean by traceability? Supply I can understand - for supply, read cost. But traceability? FR eggs are as traceable as battery or organic as far as I am aware.
I am tempted to email them now myself!

Here's my swift, but strangely familiar reply:

Isn't that a similar answer to the one that Hellman's of the mayo fame gave when they were faced with similar petitions/emails?
If Hellmans can go free range then so can cadbury. I wonder how many other Cadbury products contain eggs.
