Loft insulation grant - landlord abroad

I have now (finally) got my landlord to agree to adding extra insulation to the loft. The only trouble is that he lives in Australia. So does this mean he can still get a grant or a discount?

It might be worth asking if you can apply for the grant with your land lords permission. That way it's more for the benefit of you as the tenant rather than the landlord
