agricultural occupancy

If a property is for sale with an agricultural occupancy restriction, what exactly does that mean? Does it mean you have to be someone working in agriculture or planning to use the land for agricultural purposes? And what is covered by the latter? Would you have to be going to use the land for farming as a commercial venture or would it count if you wanted it to grow food in order to be self-sufficient?
