Just thought I would share something that impressed me this week. My girls both came home with end of year gifts made by their Design and Technology (Manual Arts, we used to call it..) teacher.
They each had little sleighs made out ply, with candy canes for the... ski bits (the sleddy bits underneath...they prolly have a proper name, but I don't know it) and then filled with lollies.
Not only was she teaching the kids to make things in class, but by sharing hand made gifts, she was also teaching them to actually use their skills when it counts!

David is a technology teacher and he's been doing stuff like this with the kids too. They are selling them too.
