Women build beautiful homes

Post: # 71804Post naturalhomes »

I hope this article inspires others to build a straw bale home. At least volunteer your time to help someone build their eco-friendly house.

Does anyone know about other women builders?

You don't have to be a woman to build a beautiful strawbale house, but as it happens, I just got this in my mailbox:

"The theme of The Last Straw journal's March 2008 issue is The Women of
Strawbale and Natural Building. In addition to updating the articles about
women involved in strawbale and natural building in 1995 (TLS issue
#10/Constructive Women), we want to feature women who are currently involved
now.

Without doubt, Amazon Nails will feature strongly in that, too.

Incidently - it took me years to realise there was a pun in the name 'Amazon Nails'. Hands up who else spotted it.

Thank you for the link. I have seen several stawbale homes this week in Somerset through various events. We hope one day to build a natural round building (straw bale or cob) as a mediation studio. Ideally we'd live entirely off the grid.

Thanks for sharing.
warm regards
