Gordo B's green cred?

Post: # 51764Post Cheezy »

See if you believe him for your self here:

Chapter 7
For me there's a lot of devils in those details. but from what I can make out:
1.More fuel Duty 2p/L from Oct 1st each year(stealth tax not going to do much)
2.£15/yr reduction in sub 140g/cc CO2 car tax ( a bonus no real incentive)
3.Higher emitter cars of CO2 will pay extra £80 this year extra £180 next year (Most 4x4 and performance car owners will not be put off by this increase so it's a stealth tax, nice try though.)
4.Microgeneration: extra £6mill to LCBP1 (martin any comments?)
5.Ask Ofgem to increase the money paid to microgen's to the grid
6. Money's earned from 5 to be tax and capital gains free (small beer)
7. Bio fuels tax kelt at 20ppL (should be 0!)
8. Small producers of Bio fuels will no longer have to register and submit returns to HMRC (start collecting that chip fat!)
9. Biogas 40ppL to stay
10.Bioethanol E85 to be promoted to company car owner by reducing the car tax by 2% (does ANYONE know where you can get E85 from????!)
11. Freebies for big firms who want to set up biofuel plants
12.ClimateChange Levy going up with inflation(definite stealth tax )
13. 0% stamp duty on zero-carbon homes costing upto £500K, and homes above £500K get a rebate £15k. (Who sells and buys zero C homes??, most are self build by enthusiasts and is it really going to encourage more building of them)
14.Active land fill (gives off gas!) to increase by £8/T
15. Inactive land fill to increase by 50p/T (really going to hurt that one!)

Lots more there to baffle, some interesting things about micro generation , but it looks like tinkering and posturing to me.

Comments anyone!
It's not easy being Cheezy
So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli
