flower id please

Post: # 206138Post deb13b »

I found this in my garden, in the house we've just moved into. The flower petals fell off before I thought about getting a pic to put on here  The petals were pale pink and it looked a little bit like a carnation. I've since noted them poking out of pavement cracks here and there in nearby streets.

Thank you for the quick ID ! I'm pleased, poppies are lovely, I will harvest the seeds when the heads go brown. Finding allsorts of stuff in the garden, I've got lovely hollyhocks in one corner. Not so keen on all the woodlice tho. :(
