my daughter saw a photo of the new range of wynciette and brushed cotton nightwear fabrics at my favorite fabric shop (local to my mum, but not so local to me lol). she wanted the elephant one. I was unsure, I thought it'd be a little too young for her but she was insistant.

I got to the shop and found it was £12 per metre. Ever the cheapskate, I went for half a metre. I've been left with just enough to make a jammie top for one of her toy elephants.

the ribbon trimings were a gift from my wonderful sewing machine providing aunt.

the pattern for the top was a modified Wild Ginger iCare pattern. these are medical non-profit use patterns to print at home. I added little sort of cap sleeves instead of the square scrub style ones. the shorts are made up, but based loosely on a thai-fisherman's-pants pattern. I just did sewn sides instead of wrap arounds.

here's my five year old being a model.

oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

They are very cute and she clearly loves wearing them.

Don't worry about them being too young, my husband is still wearing the all in one sleepy suit I made for him which is covered in sheep

Love them! The pattern doesn't look too young for her - elephants are cool.
