My Cakes
I'm quite pleased with these two
The beehive was a happy extra - I tried with piping icing but that turned out awful! So I attempted the make it out of solid fondant icing thinking there's no way I could manage that bit it turned out well
The bees are my first attempt. The white icing sadly is not, I've been practicing decorating cakes but I still havent quite got the right technique for getting it properly smooth.
This one I did a short while ago, to get the pink colour I actually had to use an awful lot of red gel food colouring!

Re: My Cakes
They look lovely. I wouldn't worry about the smoothness of your icing - being not-quite-perfect is what makes them look like someone lovingly made them instead of just picking one up from the supermarket.
