Crochet hooks

Happy New Year to you all!
I have two of some stainless steel crochet hooks and I'm deciding which ones to keep. Some are all silver and some have a golden hook end - what's the difference and is one better than the other in some way?

I bought a double ended 6mm bamboo hook and it feels a bit funny. I haven't used it yet but I'm not really looking forward to it, I'm so used to the metal ones. It's nice quality though, with the size scorched into it.
