Sorry MrsF, I'm an import from the Fens. I can speak a little Welsh, but I'm afraid it's mostly with a Fen twang. Arr.

Hi,
Grace and I has a chance to visit the UK in 2009 for a week. We have never seen a sign like this one...and since we were sore from a lot of walking...it seemed appropriate. I believe this was shot in Barnoldswick.

Regards,
Chuck

Ha ha I love that photo! Nice to 'see' you two as well. :thumbright: I don't think I've seen a sign like that before either - I know damn well I'd be straight under it for a photo too!

We have lots of them round here - does that tell you something about what it's like where I live???
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Nope - Bananas in Pyjamas!

It made me smile to see my old cat in the background - she died a couple of years ago - so it's nice to see her there. And that little boy next to me is now talking about leaving home and going to college - how time flies!

Wombat,
Spent time last night looking at your site. I was impressed by the amount of water you have stored. I thought I was doing good with 1000L...need to beef that up now.

Regards,
Chuck

Thanks Chuck! We don't use it as efficiently as I would like but have been talking to a plumber mate and we are looking at connecting the 5500 litre tank direct to the house through a pump and setting up so we can shut off the reticulated supply. We'll see how it goes.
