Glad everyone is okay! And now you know that you are all good in a crisis. It seems you all did exactly what you should!
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

thought I had better check in. A very scary quake but no major damage here, although either the house or the deck is no longer horizontal and one or the other has risen or sunk, not sure which.
I am just so fed up of the after shocks.

Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."

we are outside of chch on Kaitorete Spit
sky is I believe in the general neck of the woods of Oxford.
Vege garden is still fine, though only planting root veggies in it now as the tunnel house will grow all the green leaf veggies.

had some bad news, we moved my grandmother into a home due to health and were in the process of trying to sell her two bedroom unit at the retirement complex where she previously she lived has been badly damaged, so now comes the hard part, the retirement complex was suppose to sell it and pay her out the profit but they chose to promote a new apartment complex over the villas, so i wonder who is responsable for fixing it up, well the lawyers will soon tell us i guess.

Complicated, but a good thing that your granny wasn't still there if it was badly damaged!
