What's a pinner?

Someone who uses Pinterest (apparently, the third largest social networking site now). It's like an online pinboard, where you pin pictures and links and stuff, and you can share and follow other people.

I suppose it's a bit like facebook, but without all the annoying statuses - only pictures and links from around t'internet.

I'd say its not like facebook - which i am still resisting.

it can be used as a social wossit, or it can be used as a place to build up images or ideas etc. I've seen folk who are writing a book use it for research and others for mood boards to build up a wishlist for their home etc. use if as you like

I couldn't make sense of it. I joined Chime In because it's a social network all about interests, but couldn't get on with it. Then all of a sudden something went wrong in the middle of chiming and next thing I know I've bombed out the site and I get an email saying my account has been disabled. I won't miss it. Can't really get on with Twitter either!

I think I'll just stick with G+ for my interest based social networking as it is a million times better.

I just ignore it all. Forums and Usenet are as far as I want or need to go.

Google plus, G+, is great *if* you use it properly. It's a social network/blog/forum/photo sharing rolled into one. I get great photos and blog entries from MMM, as well as many others.

FB, twitter and other social networks are blocked here, but google + makes it through

I know. It's nice that a few people in my Ishy circle appear from time to time, and Chicken Chargrill keeps it alive for me!

Why do people have to have an invitation to join Pinterest though?
