Amber warning on the Teme, sure to go red if todays forecast is right.
Surely to God we can't have 2007 revisited,Tenbury's taken enough s--t just lately, everybody could do with a break.

Lovely town, Tenbury. Not been there for years but quite fond memories, even though she did dump me. Hope you avoid inundation.oldjerry wrote:Amber warning on the Teme, sure to go red if todays forecast is right.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time O.J.! I hope it's better soon.

Look's like we got away with it!Loads of rain, but not as much as feared, the levels are dropping...phew.! Hope whatever weather you've all got isn't too unreasonable.

I'm starting to think about building an Ark... I've really had enough of this.

I went for a walk yesterday by the river Wye which was flowing pretty fast. Near there was an old factory which had flood heights and dates on one of its walls. The highest was 28 ft above normal river level in 1947. The floods seemed to be well scattered in terms of dates between then and now.

We’ve on the 220m contour, but started patching the boat. Just in case…gregorach wrote:I'm starting to think about building an Ark... I've really had enough of this.

Yesterday at noon it was within 3 or 4 ft off going over the top of Tenbury bridge.Sand bags, Enviroment Agency(doing a good job this time around) and Old Bill all over the place, only a foot or so from taking out the main street again! Today it's gone down maybe 10 ft,but heavy rain forecast for Monday late.'Course we're not alone,Newnham Bridge and Craven Arms were cut off completely.
When the hell is this gonna stop???

I don't know exactly where it was but the road in Devon that got partially washed away looked pretty scary. Unbelievably there are areas up here being told to conserve water as we've had nowhere near our usual rainfall.
