Marking the shortest day.
Winter Solstice today, midwinter, the shortest Day and the longest night, time for reflection on the past and dreams for the future.

And it gets lighter from here on, which has to be good. Thoroughly tired of the dark. And the rain.

I'm one of those weird fellows who likes the cold and wet. But I like the idea of time going on, so here's to the shortest day!
I view the world vicariously through comedy. Don't take me seriously.

Yeah right - summary of what happens here every year along with various other celebrations. Being born on the winter solstice is "interesting" - never been taken to Stonehenge yet though. Wonder what my perfectly normal kids would think if I did that.marshlander wrote:Winter Solstice today, midwinter, the shortest Day and the longest night, time for reflection on the past and dreams for the future.
