Grass cutting.

Post: # 274498Post Pumkinpie »

A miracle happened today , well it is in our house. When I went downstairs my 23 yr old daughter is outside mowing the lawn. This has never been heard of.
The reason , the Bq this afternoon ? As we have German visitors .
Or is she getting some practice for when she gets her 1st house in a few weeks , a terraced property with a 100 meter lawn.
I just can't believe it.

But did she do the edges, sweep up , and put the cleaned mower back away or was that left to you?

Lawn mowings are a great resource, and at least your daugther doesn't shit all over the lawn, like the geese...

Don't worry it will never happen again and you may be called in to mow her lawn.

Found this very funny! My daughter, divorced and living back home having bought half my house with the sale of her flat, is very useful in the garden, but I am still waiting for her to find the kitchen! She would literally starve without me! pbf.

Daughters!
No the edges were not done, the lawn mower did need cleaning after and she did leave big tufts.
I cleaned the lawn mower after her and re cut and tidied the edges yesterday. It's the thought and the effort that counts and she did it for a reason she wanted a BBQ . I said if the lawn wasn't cut we wouldn't have one.
And no I won't become a mam who mows at her new house.
She can learn the hard way like we did and cut her own bl...dy grass.
It's going to be bad enough house sitting for workmen whe she has it done up. I've got the job as I am at home all day. She thinks I have nothing to do!

Grass needs cutting again!
Think I better do it today.
Daughter gets keys to new house a week on Friday then she will have her own grass to worry about.
A Victorian terrace with one of those long and narrow gardens with grass ( and weeds) , definitely not a lawn.
Had a lazy morning so I better get the lawn mower out.
