My view of my harvest will be a bit different, a lot of bottles of wormwood ale and demijohns full of various herb wines. About to hang my wormwood to dry before I brew it. Sadly already eaten most the cayenne (hot as hell fire) and "scotch bonnets" (all the flavour none of the heat) peppers, although I have maybe half a dozen ceyennes left hanging plus some powdered, will throw pics up later.
As an aside, that is one hell of a parsnip.

Those are some good sized artichokes, Doofa
I grew some years ago and they were a lot smaller than those.

Do they give pigs wind, same as they do me?

They vary in size, dependant upon the variety. There are also some Chinese things, which are a different vegetable, that look identical but are half as big. They are ,apparently, brilliant for diabetics.

I thought that was the Jerusalem artichokes that are good for diabetics - or are those Chinese things even better?

I think they both are Ina. They contain a sugar that is not processed by your body, passes straight through in other words.
Like some other things, Stevia for instance and Yacon.
Luckily for me I can eat modest quantities of honey without affecting my blood/sugar, which is great.

I grew those chinese artichokes, there were very nice, but looked a lot like curly white maggots, and they have to potential to be very invasive, I gave up though because they were so small to clean up before cooking

That's been my problem with artichokes, too - just can't be bothered to clean them up! But they never gave me wind, so I think that very much depends on the individual.

I'm not keen on JA's myself, nor are the Care, but they are dead easy to grow, pretty productive, and fill a space in my rotation

And the pigs aren't so fussy

I initially grew them to fill a gap in winter - but I find that I hardly ever got round to eating them. And they do take up a lot of space in a tiny garden like mine, so I've grubbed them all out.
