thought we would loose the greenhouse yesterday,a couple of panes slipped and cracked out and the gable end cam adrift a couple of inches ,fortunately i managed to get a tarp over the damage and a friend came with a heavy net to cover everything over with to stop the wind getting under the tarp.we repaired the damage today only 2 panes of glass and re align the gable very lucky AND relieved

Well done, Glyn. I've stopped at Annandale services often, but know nothing more about the area - it looks very pretty from the motorway.

Glad you've managed to rescue your greenhouse - now if you just want to pop up here and fix my polytunnel????????????????

sorry polytunnels are not my thing ! it seems excuses are though  ,seriously though good luck getting the repairs done its very stressful seeing hard work destroyed and not being able to do anything about it , we are just a bit south of the services not far from the a74 on the flatter ground heading for gretna and open to the solway firth ,nothing stopping the wind between us and the isle of man other than a few wind turbines
