Do you remember the days when ....?
You could log in and be greeted with all sorts of wonderful spam for every rubbish item under the sun and dodgy links to suspect websites? Doesn't that seem a long time ago?

We're not lifting the spam filters, Flo! Not unless you fancy being moderator. We used to spend literally hours each day zapping the b*ggers and that was with a team of 7 or 8 mods. There are only 3 of us now.
I'm too old and weary for all that again.
(Although I don't know where to buy cheap trainers any more ).

Maggie I would rather you keep the spam filters in place. Never again a moderator with spam on the side ... But there were the days when reporting spam was one of the things I did early in the mornings when I logged in here.
And some of the spam was totally ridiculous wasn't it?

Indeed it was, Flo. We may never know how to make cheap chicken coops or buy authentic gold wristwatches but life is peaceful.
