Glorious sunshine and a balmy 4C. The couple of mm of snow that fell yesterday evening is all gone.
The central belt of Scotland, however, has a red alert, which apparently means so hazardous it could be danger of death. I've never heard of a red alert before.

Re: Weather forecast
Cheer up they did a red one for Storm Desmond in 2015 - we know about him as they had inshore lifeboats up the main street of the county town of Northumberland rescuing people from the floods when the river got out there. It was equally interesting here but I live just far enough from the river to not get flooded. Nearly the entire village was on the river bridge watching mind. Such fun.
Re: Weather forecast
We had a red one for hurricane Ophelia, which proved to be correct as 2 people lost their lives.
Lucky you GA with your tropical temperatures, it has just struggle to reach +0.5 here and will probably start dropping again soon. We did have some pretty snow flurries every now and again which relieved the boredom of sitting indoors all day somewhat
Never mind, it's the 1st of March tomorrow, first day of meteorological spring

Re: Weather forecast
I've switched to YR for forecasts - the Norwegians forecast Australian weather better then Australians - but use the Australian radar network also.
