What a Pain in the Chest!

Post: # 53611Post Wombat »

Well, so here we are, Mrs Wombat and I walking along about 8:00pm tonight, getting our excercise. Occasionally cars of yahoos will drive past and yell abuse, but I ignore them. Anyway this time I got hit in the chest with an egg and in the thigh with a harder object, both causing soreness and leaving red marks as well as making a mess of my shirt.

*Sigh* The idiots you have to put up with in suburbia. Real brave they were too, tunred out their lights so couldn't read their number plate as I turned around. Left my RPG in the other trousers as well.......

Hi Nev
I can't believe that they would throw things at you. That is awful. Are you OK?

I would report it to the police. Maybe they can put security cameras up in that area. If they do it to you and get away with it, are they going to do worse to others?

Zoe

Thanks Zoe,

you would need to put security cameras up around the whole estate and I don't think I'm ready for that, let alone anyone else. They were just idiots with a car. I've been walking for over 10 years and this is the first time I've been egged!

Mrs Wombat wants me to talk to the police, but there is not much I can tell them.

Idiots will be idiots!

Sorry Nev, i know its not funny, but the mental image of someone walking along and having an egg randomly fly at them is quite amusing!!

But, it is wrong, and you can just console yourself with the fact that they are idiots and one day, someone will get them back...10x!

Yep, Fee to someone watching it would be funny! It was more the shock of impact that anything, but even so I think I shall get a bruise, and the hit on the thigh was disturbingly close to my groin!

Probably not something that I should be proud of but I was once pelted with a water bomb. The morons who threw it were driving a red convertible so they really stood out. Later on that same day myself and a friend had the satisfaction of standing on a bridge and pouring the contents of our chip bags all over their lovely shiny leather upholstery. As I say, not big nor clever
