Did anybody read the latest issue of Kitchen Garden mag? there is the most interesting and inspirational article in it about a village in Hampshire which has formed a cooperative to produce as much of their own food as possible. It is amazing. Their website is www.futurefarms.org.uk.

I would love to do this.

Depends very much on the area you live in, doesn't it? Not too sparsely populated, not too urban... But the idea is great. Can't see it taking off around here, though.

Saying that, the number of farmer's markets is increasing, so maybe there is hope yet.
