I don't know, actually. There are people I admire - but whether I'd want to meet them? Say, I'd met Nelson Mandela. I'd probably dry up with awe altogether, and just mumble and stutter. :? Do I really want to meet him?

or... they would not meet up to your expectations...well Nelson Mandela probably would.

Not to put a downer on the excersize, but I'd like to meet my dad (he died when I was 4 and I wish I had known him)

I'd like to have met my OH 25 years ago!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

What a great question, I have already thought about this one, I would like to meet Jesus, my grandad, the queen, and John Seymore.

i thought i replied to this. but on reflection i started writing it, the veggie box arrived, i realised i had no space in the kitchen to put it, starting clearing up, did the washing up for good measure, hung out laundry, made some dinner then realised i'd started writing on here. i'm sure i pressed post though maybe it expired! if anyone sees a post that doesnt fit into a thread thats probably it.

ANYWAY! i would like to meet Bill Hicks (who died of pancreatic cancer in 1997), for those who don't know who he was, he was an american stand up comic, intelligent, thoughtful, quite controversial but in my opinion, brilliant.
