Actually, I had a couple of ideas about the broom-spoon thingy yesterday morning (as I was brushing my teeth...):

Party game: Let everybody have a pudding of their choice, stick it on a table about 1.5m away, and let them eat it with a broom-spoon. Whoever finishes first wins (and gets to clean up afterwards!)

Diet spoon: Eat as much as you like - but eat everything with a broom-spoon. Probably even more difficult (and successfull as a dietary measure) than eating with chopsticks!

Toni's theory is that you stand on a stepladder and clear smeg out of the guttering with it. Then when you climb down the broom is already in your hands!

 Brilliant! Is it quite a big spoon, or are they very narrow gutters?
