101 uses for glass yoghurt pots - help wanted please
I have been given about 20 of these glass pots.
They are a little thin walled for candles I think I have just included a tealight in the photo so you can see their relative size - so alternative uses please.
Many thanks
Monika

Funny that - I just had that idea, too. A colleague of mine was looking for little glass pots like these the other day - for jellies for the soup and sweet lunch in the village hall! But they might not have that kind of event in France...Thomzo wrote:Make individual jellies and deserts in.

If they are the same as the glass yoghurt pots I used to get (containing yummy vegan lemon yoghurt), then they ARE perfect for tealights. The metal bit of the tea-light contains any heat well. If you put a small stumpy candle in with no metal case then expect them to splodge out across the bottom of the glass (speaking from personal experience!).

Hi- thanks for all the ideas folks.
They are really quite thin walled so I would not put candles in them, even tea lights as the bases can get extremely hot and I don't think that the glass would be thick enough to cope.
But do like the little gift food pot ideas - I will just have to make some pretty covers to go with them.

I love to paint things like this, then they can have candles stuck in them, seashells, stones, bits of flowers, pot-pourri, food, toiletries, scraps of wool, cotton reels, lace, those little things that collect around the place, like hair grips, pins, paper clips, jewellery, or they can be used for little projects, like infusing, etc, etc, etc
Anyway, glad you found a use for them

The ornaments are really expensive to buy but if you're talented on the fimo front, they're easy to make and look great in little bottles!

For storing and displaying crochet hooks, colored pencils, paint brushes, and the like.
For mixing paints.
If you could find lids, they'd be great to fill with all sorts or things and give as presents.
With potpourri
herbs
candies
salves
love notes....
