both made and painted while soph's either napping or asleep for the night. she likes clay too but she gets upset when it dries on her hands.

Did you use the air dry clay to make them? I made a nice Beltaine plaque a few years ago but it broke eventually ...

I used air-dry clay, but fully coated both in paint. the rather visceral (accidentally so lol) heart got a base-coat of white acrylic paint, but the green man I went straight in with green paint which means that there are shades on there which are matte, and the upper coats of darker paint stayed glossy. I'm ever-so proud of him.

They are stunning, though the heart does make me feel a bit squeamish!

Maybe open hands with a heart laying in them would be a bit less... scary looking? :?
