Dr Who!

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

Obviously not from another planet, or he'd know!

Try this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_who

Alternatively, check out Bill Bailey's Belgian jazz styled explanation.

Got to agree with that - those ridiculous expressions & bad acting are just too much even for Doctor who ... which is a shame after Billy Piper brought the previous series to life

Dunno. I'll probably have to, like, talk to my boyfriend... or read a book... or go out in the garden or something naff like that....

I can't believe how quickly the series flew by!!!! :(
Absolutely brilliant!!!!

I heard that there isn't going to be a series next year, because DT wants to do other things, but there maybe some specials. And that he's leaving his options open for the following season. I REALLY hope he doesn't leave, he's fab!!

Anyone who thinks Donna is the worst Companion ever is obviously too young to remember the original series (or has mercifully blotted certain things from their minds).

Remember Bonnie Langford, and shudder!
Or Adric.
Or Peri.

They were all far worse than Donna.

I can't believe I missed this post! Though as the biggest geek ever I have to point out that its Doctor Who, not Dr Who, and the character is named the Doctor.
I'd been dreading Donna, I even threatened not to watch, but she turned out to be pretty decent, her character developed quite wonderfully...which made her eventual fate a little distressing. Also distressing was the fact that Rose didn't die...don't get me wrong, I liked her, I just get bothered by the Best. Companion. Ever. vibe that seems to go with her. (My preference for New Who companions is as follows: Captain Jack, Martha, Donna, Rose)
As for David Tennant, its pretty much confirmed that he'll be around for a while. He's definitely on board for the four specials for next year (Christmas, Easter, Summer, Christmas) and will most likely be around for the following season. He's on record as saying he'd like to break (4th Doctor) Tom Baker's record (of around 7 years).
If anyone is interested, I do have some spoilers for the 2008 Christmas special, and general ones for the 2010 season.

Oh, and how SSish of Davros to clone all the Daleks from his own cells :-p
