Bycyle wedding

Post: # 126085Post QuakerBear »

I'm planning my wedding and people are asking what kind of car we're having. Well, I want my bycyle, she's lovely and liberated me as a student, Mr. QB is also rather fond of his. Bycycles are much better for the enviroment as well. So here is a link to Off Beat Bride with beautiful pictures. Enjoy.

Let me know if I've not done the link right.

Link works perfectly, QB.

What a lovely idea but why not go the whole way and hire a tandem?

It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet
Upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two!!!!

I thought it was

"But ring your bell,
And pedal like hell,
On a bicycle made for two"

If you do the tandem thing, drunk uncles will find all sorts of ungentlemanly things to say about who is in front and who is behind, and what this means for the future. Sounds like you have a very good plan there as it is.

And then have the argument as to who is allowed the front seat? No, no - I think this idea is much better.... This way none of them just gets to see the other's bum all the time.

Well we have tried a tandem, the tallest person always goes in front, so that's Mr. QB. Which is also lucky because you have to be quite strong to hold up the bike with an adults weight on it. The stoker (me) should never put their feet down which is a bit scary at first but once you trust your driver it's very relaxing to just peddle and gaze at scenery.

Back to point though, Mr. QB says he wants a bit of luxury so we may be looking at a rickshaw. Saw lots in Oxford, must now hunt for them in deepest darkest Surrey....

Spot on that picture really did bring a big smile to my face.

Brilliant, just brilliant! - I would do the same but am slightly scuppered by my girlfriend not wanting to get married and not being able to ride a bike.

Andy,

You'll have to be the one powering the rickshaw then
