Milton keynes?
Hi I might be moving to Milton keynes and was just wondering if there is anything there other than shops concrete cows and roundabouts!
Are there any farmers markets or farm shops in the area. I know there is a massive shopping centre but I doubt I can get local honey and meat there!
Just need a bit of reasurance that I won't have to rely on the 24 hour T***o which is my idea of hell!

Hi Patty, if you do move there, see if you can find the road "H6". I never did. Managed to find all the other H & V roads, but not that one - maybe it had been ploughed into a asphelt field for the cows! (for anyone not familiar with the M.K.road lay-out, consider yourself extremely fortunate).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
Re: Milton keynes?
yeh,the local w.i markets, used to be around a few years ago,and the roads are simple and you cant get lost if you remember its built on a grid,so h horisntal v=vertical,if you get lost just count down the roads, plenty of delivery meat companys around, look in the phone book, and theres a great chinese vegetarian cafe in bletchley, really yummy food, mmm

Maybe that's why it seems nigh on impossible to get out of the place!

Re: Milton keynes?
The Horizontal/Vertical road system is all very well, but in M.K.'s case,if you look on a map, the bloody things are at 45 degrees to the standard plane! (must have been designed by a wom...............).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
